Can I wash my hand-painted denim jacket?
Yes, your denim jacket has been "heat-set" and can be washed in the washing machine - cold water, gentle cycle, line dry. This will help keep your painted design vibrant and colorful. You can apply an iron if necessary. Care Instructions will come with each item.
Do I need to supply you with a jacket?
We have denim jackets in our studio available in a variety of sizes (XS-XL). They are a classic style and fit. Some of our clients prefer to send us a jacket (new or old) to be sure that it fits the way they want it to. If you do plan on sending us a jacket, we ask that it be clean and does not have a coating or repellant added to the fabric. Faux leather jackets are also available in limited sizes but can often be ordered upon request.
PLEASE NOTE: My painted samples are always for sale both in the studio and through my website shop. These jackets are offered in one size only, painted with one of my original designs to show my clients various design styles and techniques, as well as to serve as inspiration for custom purchases. Because there is only one size available onsite, these jackets are always available for purchase at a DISCOUNTED PRICE.
How do I care for my leather jacket, boots or bag?
KBA will seal the painted areas of your leather or faux leather item. This will protect the paint from day-to-day use, including bad weather. This does not mean that it is scratch proof, and you should care for your purchase as you would any leather product. Spot washing is suggested whenever possible.
What if my jacket doesn't fit?
Because each item is made-to-order, there are no refunds once the painting begins. I supply my clients with designs to approve, as well as size guidelines for their jackets, but some clients prefer to send me a jacket instead.
Does KBA design jackets for Men?
Yes! We love working with our customers on custom designs for men, women, and children. If there is a design in one of our Collections that you would like on a men's jacket, please contact us! We will be sure to get the appropriate size jacket for you.
What is the delivery time on a custom design?
On average it is usually a 2-week process. All orders are priced by design and customers are given an estimated delivery date at the time the order has been placed and design approved.
How much will my jacket cost?
Prices are determined by design. Custom jackets start at $200 and up. Orders of 3 or more will be given a discount (as in bridal parties, etc.) Kids custom jackets start at $85 and up based on design or additional embellishments. Our clients will receive a quote once a design has been approved. If revisions are made by the customer after a design has been approved, there may be additional charges. We will always alert our customers of any additional design fees prior to making the requested changes to their jacket.
Prices are listed on all items in our shop. These items are made-to-order but not considered custom unless there is additional customization added to the design. How do I get started on a Custom Order?
Contact us directly so that we can get your personal input and thoughts about your jacket design. We will prepare a sketch for your approval before any painting begins. This is where we work together to be sure the design is exactly what you want it to be. Once a design has been approved, you will be given a quote. A 50% deposit is due at this time, and the remaining balance will be due when the jacket is complete.What is the Return Policy?
Because each jacket is made-to-order, there are no refunds once the painting begins.
How will you ship my jacket?
We use UPS or USPS Priority Mail for shipping. Should your item arrive damaged, please contact us directly!
